The Clash of the Titans River City Nationals

   It is finally here its the 2008 Season Opener for The Clash of the Titans Outlaw Streetcar Nationals set for June 7th in Marion , TX at the San Antonio Raceway. The Clash of the Titans has had a long off-season and the racers and fans alike are ready for the beginning of another great year of drag racing clash style. The Clash of the Titans has always had the Worlds fastest streetcars and the River city Nationals will prove that once again as the best racers from all over the country come to do to do battle at the 2008 River City Nationals.
 2007 World Champions Dave Pierce, Kevin Hargett, Eric Stubbs, Chip Radderchek, Corey Wheat, and Ben Frazier will be ready to defend their championship in 2008 however, New comers and past champions will be trying to take their part of the purse and leave San Antonio raceway with the points lead. One racer who might have something to say about his class will be San Antonio’s very own Mike “Buster” Murillo with the return of The world famous Star car #2. Mike has been a multiple world champion in the past and after a long lay off from his class he is back at full force hoping once again to take the Championship crown at the end of 2008. San Antonio is full of heavy hitters and Mike is just one of them others include the likes of Dennis Segrue, Smiley Cordero, Onofre Benavidez and others making this a must see event! The Clash of the Titans drag racing series has always prided itself on having something to please everyone, from racing fan to fanatic, and San Antonio will be no exception. Between the Heads Up racing, and fierce index racing there is not a dull moment in the stands. If you should happen to leave the stands there is always a nice car show and for the gear head in all of us there is a spectacular vendor midway that showcases the latest in automotive performance parts along with a swap meet to buy used parts.
